Vision
CBDRM Platform is a unique arrangement that unites humanitarian and development partners under the leadership of Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration(MoFAGA) Government of Nepal to reduce Nepal's vulnerability from the effect of disasters in line with Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act 2017, Local Government Operation Act 2017,Sedndai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction(SFDRR) 2015-30, National Disaster Risk Reduction Policy 2018 and Disaster Risk Reduction National Strategic Action Plan 2018-30 to make resilient communities.
Aims
- To strengthen coordination, collaboration and partnership with wider stakeholders for community based disaster risk reduction and resilience
- To encourage and advocate governments, partners and private sector, academic institutes, research institutes, media, experts involvement for scaling up CBDRM
- To build common understanding on approaches, priorities and modalities among the partners
- To support and facilitate to the government in formulating necessary DRR/resilience policies and plans
- To provide a platform to share learning and replicable experiences in CBDRM
