Emergency Preparedness and Response & Early Recovery under the CDRMP focuses on development of disaster response capacity at different levels in responding to disaster. The programme has supported development of National Disaster Response Framework, development of National Relief Standards and Guidelines (in progress), establishment of network of emergency operation centres across the country that as of now covers a total of 54 districts. Capacity development of security forces on urban search and rescue, water rescue and fire-fighting including of fire brigades has been equally focused under the emergency preparedness. The formulation of national cluster on Early recovery its operationalization and capacity building are equally been prioritized.
