Reconstruction Drinking Water Schemes in Dhading District

Practical Action contributed towards community infrastructure, capacity building for Water Sanitation and Hygiene, and livelihood rebuilding. In order to speed up the process and support communities in accessing basic services at their earliest, the project supported in renovating/reconstructing the drinking water schemes in various places of Dhading District.

Building Disaster Resilient Communities in Pokhara Sub Metropolitan (BDRC)

The project contributed in building disaster resilient communities in Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan City through close coordination and collaboration with local government bodies and other government line agencies of Kaski District together with civil society organisations including private sectors. The project covered all 18 wards of Pokhara Sub-metropolitan City and 7 upstream-VDCs of Seti River in Kaski District with particular focus to slum dwellers of Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan City.

Transboundary Rivers of South Asia (TROSA) SIDA, 2017-2021

reduce poverty of river basin communities through increased access to, and control over, riverine water resources on which their livelihoods depend. Achieving this aim, the program focuses on four outcomes. 1, Improve government policies & practices at all levels. 2, Practices of private sector respect community access to water resources actively contributing to reduced conflict. 3, Strengthened capacity of river basin communities and 4, Increased participation & influence of women in trans-boundary water governance, policies and processes

Nepal Earthquake Recovery and Reconstruction Program

provide humanitarian assistance in earthquake affected district along with long term sustainable solution, major focused areas for the project was WASH, EFSVL, Shelter (Housing), DRR, Gender and Protection. Gender/Protection was also mainstreamed throughout the project to ensure the women and excluded group ensure their rights and have access in the information and resources.

Promoting Agriculture, Health & Alternative Livelihood (PAHAL)

Promoting Agriculture, Health & Alternative Livelihood (PAHAL) is a five-year (2014-2019), project that seeks to strengthen livelihoods, improve nutritional status, and increase the capacity of vulnerable households to mitigate, adapt to, and recover from shocks and stresses in rural communities. Implemented by Mercy Corps, the project and its partners target individuals, households, and communities to help build the resilience of up to 160,000 households across 14 food-insecure districts in Nepal.
