Strengthening the capacity of communities for disaster risk reduction through Early Warning in Nepal (SCORE)
The project aimed to reduce the vulnerability of women and men by supporting strategies that enable local communities and institutions to better prepare, mitigate and respond to flood and landslide in Mid-Western and Far Western region of Nepal. It also focused to increase coordination particularly to improve and expand early warning services and bio-engineering mitigation measure.
Supply Chain Strengthening of Construction Materials and Tools in Earthquake Affected regions
This project is focused on strengthening supply chains of construction materials and tools in earthquake-affected districts particularly, Rasuwa and Nuwakot. Practical Action is considering three critical factors - aggregation at demand level to ensure economies of scale in transportation; extension of regional hub supply chains to strategic locations within the district by developing and promoting local vendors and storage capacity development and strengthening the capacity of local enterprises to initiate microenterprise for construction materials based on locally available materials.
Building resilience and climate adaptive planning in urban centers of Nepal Nordic Climate Fund, 2016-2018
